Camo Prioritization

“	Instead of saying the same thing each time; many specific crosspaths that add a 'camo specialty' to a tower end up being viewed as rather inferior crosspaths due to camo being quite available to pick up through other methods. To give these upgrades more use even with other forms of camo reveal in play, we have added a brand new Camo Prioritization option that is added to the towers when taking this crosspath. When enabled this filter combines the selected target method with Camo Prioritization (e.g. Strong Camo would work through all Camos in strength order, then revert to normal Strong until any new Camos show up).	”

Camo Priority button since v44.0

Camo Prioritization (also referred as Camo Priority) is a target priority option added in Version 28.0 for Bloons TD 6 and added in Version 1.7.0 for Bloons TD Battles 2 which allows towers to prioritize attacking Camo Bloons. It is unlocked on most towers that are able to detect camo by default or with an upgrade. External methods such as Radar Scanner and Level 8+ Etienne will not grant this targeting option.

Eligible towers feature a button showing the icon of a Camo Bloon attached to the right side of the upgrade HUD, and it can be switched on or off at the user's choice. By default, the button will be inactive, but if activated the icon modifies into a targeted Camo Bloon.

Towers with camo priority set to on will always target Camo Bloons first and based on their normal target priority. For example, a tower with Camo Priority on set to Strong will target Camo Rainbow Bloons instead of Ceramic Bloons without Camo.

Interactions

• Snipers with Night Vision Googles will be able to take advantage of their extra +2 damage against Camos.
• Ninja Monkeys with Counter-Espionage will focus on decamoing bloons in their range.
• Super Monkeys with Ultravision can utilize its +1 damage against Camos to counter those types. [BTD6 only]
• Monkey Ace's Spectre or Flying Fortress upgrade with Spy Plane can utilize its +1 damage against Camos to counter those types. [BTDB2 only]
• Various towers that are effective against DDTs can be set to target camouflaged DDTs first.

Patched

• [30.2, possibly 28.0] When set to Strong and Camo Prioritization, 0-4-2 Summon Phoenix's phoenix does not follow Camo Prioritization. Such a phenomenon can be proven by testing a Fortified BAD and DDTs; the phoenix would prioritize the BAD over the Fortified DDTs. Patched in 31.0.
• [28.0] Robo Monkey and later grant the Camo Prioritization option even though they cannot detect camo without Ultravision. Patched in 28.2.

Notes

• Towers with external camo detection (Radar Scanner, Level 8 Etienne, etc.) won't gain Camo Priority.
  • The same applies for Heroes like Sauda, Ezili, Psi that can detect Camo by default, and to those that gain it through levelling up, like Quincy.
  • Camo Priority also does not apply for towers which get special targetting after crosspath upgrades that hybridize a camo-detecting upgrade, such as 0-1-4+ Dartling Gunner.

Trivia

• Ninja Monkey is the only tower to receive Camo Prioritization for all upgrades including its base tier.
  • Ascended Shadow is also the first Paragon to receive Camo Prioritization.
• According to Ninja Kiwi's 5th November 2021 blog, Ninja Kiwi emphasized that the addition of Camo Prioritization target option was a way to improve multiple camo upgrade crosspaths, including Counter-Espionage as it had been asked by the question about Camo Prioritziation.
