Buckshot is the 3rd upgrade of Path 3 for the Dartling Gunner in Bloons TD Battles 2. When upgraded to buckshot, the Dartling Gunner fires a spray of 6 buckshots instead of darts that deal 4 damage, have 7 pierce (rather than 4 like in BTD6) and knock back non MOAB-class bloons. It also fires much slower than a normal Dartling Gunner, firing each shot every 1.5s, or every 1s with Faster Barrel Spin. Just like in Bloons TD 6, it can damage Frozen Bloons, inherited from Powerful Darts.

It costs $3,400, and is unlocked with the purchase of Dartling Gunner.

It shoots slowly but it proves to be especially effective against Ceramics thanks to its built-in knockback.

Tips[]

0-2-3 is usually better, though 2-0-3 offers both Laser Shock and, more importantly, more accurate shots.
It is also a good idea to have the Buckshot knock back the bloons into a Reactor's range so the Reactor can do more damage, especially if it is a lead-popping Reactor.
Buckshot pairs well with Alch buff so that its low pierce and high projectile count can be maximized.
Ice Monkey synergizes well with Buckshot, even at lower-tiers, as the freeze gives more time for Buckshot to knock back any frozen Ceramics, compensating the slow attack speed of Buckshot.
