Bonus Lives is an "attack" behavior characterized by providing a net lives gain. It is part of the damage types family. All "attacks" with Bonus Lives guaranteed to be of Passive type. Bonus Lives was introduced in Bloons TD 4 with the introduction of Healthy Bananas as a premium item, but only was introduced for a non-IAP in Bloons TD 5 Mobile, with the Support Chinook upgrade.
Bonus Lives is represented on Bloons Wiki as , the ability icon for Support Chinook's crate ability in Bloons TD 6, which features a life crate. Bonus Lives is distinguished from Heals Lives because an "attack" with Bonus Lives will always provide bonus lives above the starting amount, unless on a mode that restricts gaining of lives. This is especially the case because Bonus Lives is banned on both Impoppable and CHIMPS Mode.
Very few examples of this exist. Support Chinook, Spirit of the Forest, and Benjamin Level 14+ are examples of such, although Benjamin is capped to 100 lives above starting lives. Healthy Bananas Premium/MK are considered Bonus Lives, but they are excluded from the usual Damage Types list due to requiring perks. All three of these means dispense bonus lives at a much lower rate once the player surpasses 1000 lives.
In Bloons Adventure Time TD, the Bonus Lives property is super rare and most of the life-regenerating "attacks" are Heals Lives instead.
All "attacks" require an upgrade to gain the Bonus Lives property.
