Bomber Ace is the 3rd upgrade on Path 2 of the Monkey Ace in Bloons TD Battles 2. Similarly to its BTD6 counterpart, it deploys 4-bomb arrays on nearby track, replacing the sporatically dropped pineapples. However, bombs have significantly less pierce, much less than in BTD6 and even less than the pineapples.

Instead of sporadically dropping explosive pineapples, the Monkey Ace drops an array of four powerful tightly-packed bombs onto nearby track. This quad bomb array has 1.7s cooldown per salvo (1.02s with 1-3-0). Bombs dropped in the array are quickly dropped equally within the timespan of about 0.8s, before each bomb sequentially exploding after about 1s each. Upon detonation, each bomb deals 3 damage onto up to 10 bloons per bomb (17 with 0-3-1 or 0-3-2), and each bomb has an explosion radius of 35.

It costs $900, and is unlocked with the purchase of Monkey Ace.

Summary[]

Lots of high-damage explosions, though its positioning can make it somewhat unreliable. However, its strength in the early-game and mid-game allows them to solo early waves especially when given something to pop Blacks and Zebras. While rather insignificant, the Bomber Ace loses its exploding pineapples, relying on nearby track to deploy the maximum numbers of bombs.

Tips[]

1-3-0 is generally better because of the attack speed bonus. However, 0-3-2 is helpful if needing to reposition a Bomber Ace into a favorable circle around any part of the map. 2-3-0 may be somewhat usable for the denser darts, but is otherwise redundant.
Striker Jones and Biker Bones are favorable with Bomber Ace to allow Bomber Ace to reliably take down stronger explosive-resistant sends beyond Round 6's Spaced Blacks. Level 5+ Striker/Biker allows 50% chance of black-popping, making Bomber Ace's synergy with him usable in combination with early-game farming strategies.
Certain maps such as Dino Graveyard and Koru are compatible with a Bomber Ace early-game.
