Using the Bloonsday Device's Activated Ability triggers a devastatingly powerful orbital strike that will follow your cursor to disintegrate most bloons and do serious damage to MOAB-class bloons.
~ Official description

The Bloonsday Device is a Special Agent in Bloons TD 5 and Bloons Tower Defense 5 that was released on March 1, 2012. It is the most expensive Special Agent, currently costing Monkey Dollar250 (previously Monkey Dollar500). The Bloonsday Device will send out beams that will follow wherever your cursor is, and these beams can and will destroy most Bloons easily. This ability is very powerful and can only be used for a short time (the beam lasts 12 seconds on normal speed and 5 seconds on fast forward speed). It also goes through a cooldown before reactivating.

Tips

  • Because the power of this attack pops Bloons almost immediately, it's better to use the beam on normal speed because you have more time to move your cursor.
  • When the round ends, the beam continues, so start the next round quickly and place the beam at the start.

Trivia

  • "Bloonsday" play of words between "Doomsday" and "Bloons".
  • The Bloonsday Device is the only Special Agent so far that has its own Special Ability excluding the pros.
  • Although the Bloonsday Device was released on March 1, 2012, it did not have its own Special Agent slot on the game screen. This was added in an update on March 8, 2012.
  • The Daily Challenge B-Day (26 March 2012) gives 4 free Bloonsday Devices and a Beekeeper.
  • The recharge time of the ability is 100 seconds.
  • The Bloonsday Device looks somewhat like the Luxor in Las Vegas.
  • It is the only Special Agent yet that is controlled by the player.
  • It is the only Special Agent (Other than the Monkey Farmer and Meerkat Spy) that does not attack Bloons (excluding abilities) at it's non-pro status.
  • The ability appears to exactly pop the shell of the B.F.B., or exactly 700 pops.
