It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English.
~ BTD6 description

Manual of Style/Sample is the 3rd upgrade of Path 1 for the TowerName in Bloons TD 6. Some descriptor of what cool stuff the tower does. Be interesting in your wordings here. Do make some Links to link to relevant content. More importantly, make sure you cover all the main points about the upgrade as if nothing else below the article exists.

Aim for a maximum of 3 paragraphs in the leading section, and try to avoid exceeding 500 characters long for the entire leading section.

It costs $1,955 on Easy, $2,300 on Medium, $2,485 on Hard, and $2,760 on Impoppable.

Description

Appearance

Write an awesomest essay on the tower's appearance. Write in terms of physical appearance, animations, graphics, just about anything, provided it is about the visual stuff. You can also add stuff about upgrade icons and Insta icons if you want to. Grade 8 vocabulary and structuring is reasonable of a goal for the Appearance section, although Grade 12 and College vocabulary and structuring is preferred.

You can also mention what crosspathing does to change the tower upgrade. Feel free to describe this way and that way by use of the art of writing.

Mechanics

Add specific in-game information about what it does in-game. Mention lots of stat stuff in big detail. Detail special interactions if need be.

Targeting Priorities

[TowerName] [descriptor of basic targeting priorities]. [descriptor of its basic attack(s)]

  • First: Targets the first bloon visible within its range.
  • Last: Targets the last bloon visible within its range.
  • Close: Targets the closest bloon visible within its range.
  • Strong: Targets the strongest bloon visible within its range.

Some further information about the tower, if applicable.

Costs

Plonk a cost table with the important stats. If not using the "big table", use the below style of table. If necessary to write assumptions (e.g. Sun Temple for no sacrifices), write the assumption as a sentence.

Tips

  • Stick to the point with tips. You want to make sure you advise players the right steps towards taking advantage of this upgrade.
  • Mention some crosspathing business.
  • Mention some information about synergies, interactions, transitional steps, etc.
  • Just feel free to plonk as many valid points as possible. It's just the Summary is designed for heavy structured prose.

Version History

Balance Changes

Summarize balance changes here and the evolution of the upgrade. Use the balance change icons ({{buff}}, {{nerf}}, {{change}}, and perhaps more...) to mark specific changes. If a point doesn't need one, don't add a balance change icon. Most of them do deserve them though. The way you format a particular balance change shouldn't matter, provided it is unambiguous and goes straight to the point of what the balance change does.

Balance changes mostly refer to the performance of the tower as a whole with significant roles in a tower's overall gameplay. This can differ based on perspective, however. Use your own judgement to decide if fit there or not; if it's at least a fair bit influential, it fits here.

24.0 (Sauda Update)

Quote something based on an official source of confirmed written information, often an onlinely written source. Don't forget to mention the author, plus an extra descriptor if necessary!

Do use the {{quote}} template for this.

More importantly, make sure quotes are quote-on-quote correct, even if it is typographically wrong or just doesn't make sense. Something that is "lemon aid" is not the same as "lemonade", no matter who wrote what variant and whether wrong or not. If wrong feel is think you do feel [sic] then add {{sic}} to this writings [sic].

~ Ron Zhang, referring to advice for wiki writing
  • BUFF Write a buff (refer to {{buff}} for documentation)
    • You can also elaborate on it with further bulletpoints
    • And yet more bulletpoints. And some sentence stuff if needed.
  • NERF Write a nerf (refer to {{nerf}} for documentation)
    • You can also elaborate on it with further bulletpoints
  • Change Write a change (refer to {{change}} for documentation)
  • BUFF Sauda can slice a tomato
27.0
  • NERF Sauda cannot clean-cut a tomato
30.0
Not all subsections need quotes though. Order of the balance changes doesn't really matter, provided the order at least makes some sense. Statistical stats written for each balance change are nice to have too. Ignore the dumb plot rubbish; it is just an example of how order may sometimes make sense if artistically ordered in a way, but it's up to you. :)
~ Ron Zhang
  • BUFF Ron Weasley found a pipe bomb.
  • NERF The pipe bomb now can destroy Hogwarts.
  • Change Voldemort sings "Lollipop lollipop" but with "Voldemort".
  • BUFF Banana ripeness increased (green --> yellow)
  • NERF Bin size decreased (100oz --> 75oz)

Trivia

  • Some stuff, just anything cool related to the subject. Anything that makes sense. It's like the nursery for awesome stuff! Just make sure that the stuff in the trivia is not already there in the article elsewhere.
    • Multiple bullet points can be useful if needed.
  • Pop culture references are super cool to add. They are pretty easy to find, and popular among newer editors. They are very welcome though!
  • Below this, put some navbox templates too for further exploration for desktop users.
