The Bloons series is a series of puzzle games created by Ninja Kiwi, starting from 2007. The first in the series was titled Bloons. Players control a Dart Monkey with a limited number of darts, and must pop a certain number of bloons in order to pass. Bloons 2 was released later during the Bloons TD 4 generation. Bloons Pop! is the latest of these series, taking inspiration from both the old games and modern mobile games, plus some elements of the Bloons Tower Defense series, notably Bloons TD 6.
The original Bloons would result in the spinoff Bloons Tower Defense series, which would become more popular than the original Bloons series.
Defining Generational Similarities[]
Levels across the same generation of Bloons can typically be copy pasted across games in the same generation with ease. It has been proven with Bloons Festive Fun levels being ported to Bloons Insanity with surprising accuracy, with very few modifications required to make the level appear nearly the exact same as it does in its original game.
