Bloon Buster is the second upgrade of Path 1 for the Mortar Monkey in Bloons TD Battles 2. In addition to benefits of Bigger Blast, it increases damage of each mortar shell from 1 to 2. When crosspathed with Blooncineration, the Napalm Walls receive +1 damage.

It costs $500.

Strategy

Summary

Gives the Mortar Monkey extra damage to better combat multi-layer Bloons in the early game. Though this upgrade mainly serves as a stepping stone for The Big One. It is also the preferred crosspath for Heavy Shells and Artillery Battery.

Tips

• Like Bomb Shooter's Heavy Bombs upgrade, this upgrade can layer-skip Black Bloons when popping Lead Bloons.

Bugs

Current

• [1.10.3] 2-0-2 Mortar deal 4 burn DoT damage, allowing them to trivialize all rounds until Round 17 MOABs. This bug is related to a recent buff to Burny Stuff applying to Black properties, and is likely a result of fiddling around with code related to Burny Stuff. An example is recorded on r/battles2 for the bug showcase (2-0-3 Mortar shown).
