These are the upgrades that are needed to enable towers to pop certain type of bloons. There are some extras too.

Omnipopping Towers[]

Towers that can pop all types of bloons.

BTD1[]

The Dart Tower, Tack Tower and Super Monkey can pop all non-frozen bloon types in BTD1 without any upgrades. However, the damage type they use is not to be confused with the Normal damage type, which enables an attack to not only pop the aforementioned bloons, but also frozen ones.

BTD2[]

There are no omnipopping towers. The only way is to combine Bomb Towers with other popping towers (Ice Tower does not count).

BTD3[]

There are a few omnipopping towers. The most efficient at omnipopping is the Super Monkey with Plasma Blasts, as it is more efficient at destroying MOABs.

BTD6 generation and beyond[]

Towers will gain omnipopping as long as they both deal Normal damage and have Camo Detection, while not restricted by Target Bloon or Target Blimp. Towers may also be granted buffs (e.g. Acidic Mixture Dip to Sharp attackers) to achieve omnipopping.

With the introduction of Dreadbloon and immunities to attacks from the four main tower classes (Primary, Military, Magic, Support) in version 34.0 of Bloons TD 6, towers from those classes no longer have omnipopping against Dreadbloon and its Rock Bloon minions. The only towers capable of damaging Dreadbloon and Rock Bloons through all phases are Heroes, Powers, and map interactables.
