Berserker Brewed Sprayer

Berserker Brew is the 3rd upgrade on Path 1 of the Alchemist in Bloons TD Battles 2. It is similar to its BTD6 counterpart, except slightly more expensive.

As usual, Berserker Brew adds a special brew that targets the closest tower, empowering it with various stat bonuses. It gives +1 damage, +11.1% attack speed (0.90x attack cooldown), +10% range, and +2 pierce. It also independently throws Acidic Mixture Dip potions at monkeys.

It costs $1,650, and is unlocked with the purchase of Alchemist.

Strategy[]

Summary[]

Berserker Brew is a powerful choice for enhancing performance of a single tower. It gives bonus attack speed, pierce, damage, and range. Players familiar with BTD6 meta strategies may be familiar with Alch-buffing towers that attack moderately fast and shoot a Spray Spray (unspecified quantity and quality) of projectiles per shot or attacks that add Burst Burst (unspecified variant). Read the "Alchemist Brewing Strategy" page to see more information on what is optimal for Alch buffs.

Note that Berserker Brew does not have full uptime on any tower. The brew does boost towers so that they do a big punch against bloons, but a defense can still be overwhelmed by a rush with specific timing. However, Berserker Brew is relatively inexpensive for such a powerful buff, making it work especially well for multi-projectile towers that attack moderately fast, such as Ninja's Double Shot and Bloonjitsu. It also works strongly for Hydra Rocket Pods, as it greatly boosts damage and pierce despite Hydra's already fast attack speed.

Tips[]

  • 3-0-0 is usually sufficient in terms of just adding the brew. Crosspaths help the power of the brew; 3-0-1 is usually better for the faster AMD for a rather decent price, while 3-2-0 is better offensively (due to the Perishing Potions attack) and for improving the brew duration.

Version History[]

Price increased to make for the competitive nature of cheap buffing. Interestingly, Stronger Stimulant was not bumped up in price but lowered.
