Bananza rules

Bananza is a gamemode added in Bloons TD Battles 2. It was first added on the Version 1.9.0 update, and was first publically available on March 3rd 2023, two days after the update. On this game mode, all income sources (including Banana Farms, Merchantman, Rubber to Gold, etc.) are worth double, and eco gains and losses are doubled. Additionally, Sudden Death occurs for only one round and starts at Round 100 instead of 40; the true round limit is Round 101.

If Bananza is mixed with Jump Start, which is named "Jump Starter Bananza", the jump-starter round will begin between Rounds 20-40 instead of Rounds 10-30.

Strategy[]

Main article: Bananza (BTDB2)/Strategies

Summary[]

With the maximum income generation gained from all sources, value of income generators is key. Use that excessive cash to create the strongest possible defense and stockpile the strongest rush at the same time. Unlike its BTDB1 counterpart, the best strategy to opt for a pure eco strategy that focuses on a late-game loadout. In addition to maintaining a massive income advantage, watch out for stronger rushes sent by the opponent.

Eco is extremely powerful in this game mode, making the grouped eco sends an ideal choice for making excessive money. While alternate sources of income also generate double income, most towers that offer income generally are poor for extreme late-game scenarios, although they provide noteworthy income advantages for the short-term. In general, try to balance maximum income generation with powerful defense and offense.

Tips[]

  • Consider a strategy that focuses on late-game. Obviously, Super Monkey is an ideal choice, who offers Sun Temple and True Sun God as the ultimate sources of damage on a glut of money.
  • Opt for an optimal eco generation strategy. Start the first round with Grouped Reds, and follow up with the eco send with the fastest growth of eco. If there isn't enough money to spam the same send, opt for a slightly more efficient option. With excess money, use Grouped Purples for the fastest possible eco gain, followed by Grouped Zebras and Grouped Pinks. Slightly change that formula if using alternative income such as Farms or Merchantmen. Tight Leads and Grouped Ceramics (but not Tight Ceramics) offer a significantly larger eco per second, but require a hefty amount of money to continuously send.
  • In general, it is not recommended to use Bloon Trap or XXXL Trap in Bananza. As the main prey of these options are natural bloons, the excess of sent bloons prevents both options from reaching their true income potential. However, these options can be used on maps with separate sent and natural lanes, in addition to being viable income generators if bringing Engineer Monkey for Ultraboost.
  • Some powerful strategies for Bananza include Ice-Super-Village.
