Enough XP to unlock Ball Lightning (pre-1.5.0)
Ball Lightning is the 4th upgrade of Path 1 for the Druid in Bloons TD Battles 2. It is similar to its BTD6 counterpart, except only gains the ball lightning attack. It comes without the freezing or enhanced blowback, and uses pre-33.0 lightning damage values.
It gains an additional ball lightning attack, which are slow-moving projectiles that create stronger lightning bolts (stronger than Heart of Thunder lightning bolts) when approaching bloons. The ball itself does no damage, merely acting as the location from which to spawn extra lightnings. Each lightning ball is shot every 6.0 seconds and the lightning from Ball Lightning spawns every 0.35 seconds dealing 2 damage to up to 30 bloons per lightning. Lightning balls have 43 range for spawning lightning bolts. In the air, the lightning balls last for up to 5 seconds.
It costs $4,300, and is unlocked with purchase of Druid.

Summary[]
Ball Lightning is designed to pop lots of bloons quickly. However, it is very expensive and currently quite weak for its expensive price, and does not come with any benefits to other attacks.
Tips[]
- 4-0-2 is usually better to make the most of the attack speed bonuses. 4-2-0 could be useful if Regrows are major issue, but many of these specific problems are rectified with other variants of Druids.

- Ball Lightning is one of three towers that Gwendolin automatically places during the 4th stage of Battle School. The others are Ring of Fire and Wall of Fire. Strangely, Ball Lightning hardly resembles fire, which seems to be the typical affinity of Gwen.
