This is a list of Military Monkeys and their damage types in Bloons TD 6. This is to describe their attack styles and attack behaviors, to establish a better understanding of how they behave and interact in a typical defense.

Refer to Damage Types #Key for what each damage type stands for.

Sniper Monkeys naturally have infinite range (i.e. Full Map Range Full Map Range (unspecified description of how the tower can attack beyond basic range)) and deal more than one damage (i.e. Extra Damage Extra damage to all bloon types (unspecified damage)) but only exactly one pierce (i.e. Impact Impact). However, Snipers cannot ignore Line of Sight, and therefore any obstacle on screen is able to block the Sniper's range, preventing the Sniper from seeing targets hidden behind the obstacles.

Path 1 upgrades consistently add extra damage, with Deadly Precision and above also dealing extra Ceramic damage (i.e. Extra Damage to Ceramics Extra damage versus Ceramics (unspecified damage)). Maim MOAB and Cripple MOAB gain a blimp-only stun (i.e. Stun Stun (MOAB-class Bloons, unspecified alt effect variant)), while Cripple MOAB also applies a debuff onto affected blimps. Path 1 notably always has Normal Normal Type (pops Black, White, Purple, Lead, Frozen) damage, including for its crosspaths.

Path 2 adds Camo Detection Also affects Camo Bloons and Extra Damage to Camo Extra damage to Camo Bloons (unspecified damage). From Shrapnel Shot onwards, the Sniper finally gains an option to affect more than one bloon per shot via a shrapnel secondary attack. Bouncing Bullets and above convert its normally Impact Impact attack to a projectile-based attack with accurate seeking (Single Projectile + Aggressive Seeking). Supply Drop adds a passive crate "attack" that provides extra income (i.e. Bonus Income Generates Bonus Income (generates in-game currency per round, often in-game cash)). Elite Sniper improves on the income and adds a global Sniper buff (Targets Tower(s) (unspecified types of towers) + Tower Buff (unspecified buff description)) that grants both Elite targeting and faster attack speed.

Path 3, simply put, is almost exclusively purely attack speed bonuses, and usually do not change the Sniper Monkey's attack behavior outside of simple stat boosts. The main exception is Elite Defender, which increases attack speed even further in two ways: increases attack speed the further the bloons go on screen (i.e. Elite Defense Elite Defense (reacts to overall Bloon progress across the map)), and temporarily adds 4x attack speed if lives are lost (i.e. Retaliation Retaliation (reacts to leaks)).

All Tier 4 Snipers have some way to pop Leads even without upgrades.

The Monkey Sub attacks with a seeking attack in a short range, but can gain global range potential with Advanced Intel, which lets darts gain Full Map Range (Shoots bullets from any range, excluding Line of Sight, if there are other towers in range of a bloon).

Path One adds a new targeting option called Submerge, which starts out as a purely support option that decamos bloons, but eventually can damage bloons with Radioactive (unspecified radiation variant) and reduce cooldowns of other nearby water towers while submerged when upgraded to Bloontonium Reactor, or reduce all tower cooldowns and improve hero experience gains when upgraded to an Energizer.

Path Two adds a new lobbedLobbed Throw missile attack starting with Ballistic Missile. Further upgrades add more missile-related attacks, with First Strike adding an ability that deals 10k damage to a single target that soaks through layers, and Pre-Emptive Strike adding an extra attack that spawns a Pre-EmptivePre-Emptive (targets only bloons entering the screen) missile dealing damage to any newly spawned bloon that can completely pop a fortified MOAB, or greatly damage a BFB.

Path Three adds Burst (unspecified variant) to each attack with Airburst Darts, and further upgrades of Path 3 focus on improving attack speed, damage, and pierce of its dart attacks, with Sub Commander providing a passive buff to subs within its range (global with Sub Admiral Monkey Knowledge) that increases their damage and pierce.
