Arctic Wind is the 3rd upgrade on Path 2 of the Ice Monkey in Bloons TD Battles 2. It is very similar to its BTD6 counterpart during Version 33.0, but with extra range and can slow down Whites, Zebras, and Leads.

Arctic Wind slows nearby non-blimp bloons by 60%, and freezes up to 100 bloons per blast, and increases its range. Arctic Wind's freeze range increases from 20 to 30, and the arctic aura has 35 range. Arctic Wind also creates ice platforms for land towers to be placed on water. In contrast to the Bloons TD 6 incarnation, Arctic Wind platforms allow placed towers to be considered water towers.

It costs $2,900, and is unlocked with the purchase of Ice Monkey.

Summary[]

Contains a lot of dense grouped power alongside grouped slowdown control. Another benefit of Arctic Wind is being able to freeze water, allowing land towers to be placed on it and letting them benefit from water-based buffs.

Tips[]

2-3-0 helps clump Camos and Lead Bloons, while also adding Permafrost effect to slow further. On the other hand, 0-3-2 is superior for perma-stalling and increasing the range of the ice platforms.
Towers placed on water with Arctic Wind are considered water towers in Battles 2, unlike in BTD6. You can use this to buff land towers with 5-x-x Buccaneer, 4-x-x Sub and 5-x-x Sub by placing them on water.

Trivia[]

There was a bug where towers placed near an Arctic Wind and it's preceding upgrades would receive buffs by Carrier Flagship, despite not being on water. This was fixed in version 1.7.0, although it wasn't mentioned in the patch notes.
