Ambush Tech is a Powers Monkey Knowledge point in Bloons TD 6, added in Version 17.0. It grants Tech Bots a target priority button that allows them to only activate when bloons reach a certain area. It requires 3 points to be invested in the Powers Knowledge Tree, requires Supersize Glue Trap unlocked, as well as 250 as an one-off purchase.

De-linking Tech Bot from the selected tower deactivates its target map location.

Summary[]

For towers whose abilities are dependent on timing and positioning, Ambush Tech greatly benefits those types of abilities the best.

Tips[]

This is useful for Blade Maelstrom and Turbo Charge, as well as their following Tier 5 upgrades.
Don't be obligated to use Ambush Tech's special target priority option for all towers linked by Tech Bot. In fact, never use this for towers with income-related abilities such as Supply Drop and Jungle's Bounty.

Ambush Tech seems to be inspired by a fan-submitted suggestion for a Tech Bot-like "trap" that could activate a tower's ability upon contact with a Bloon. This idea was submitted by Reddit user u/Hobocop1984 on the Bloons TD 6 subreddit (r/btd6) and was officially acknowledged by a Ninja Kiwi staff member in the replies.^[1]
