Advanced Intel (BTD5) is the 2nd upgrade along path 1 for the Monkey Sub. It enables the sub to target all bloons within the radius of any other tower. Advanced Intel effectively gives the sub an almost unlimited range, as it can fire into other towers' radius. It costs $425 on Easy, $500 on Medium, $540 on Hard and $600 on Impoppable.
Trivia
- This upgrade also applies to camo bloons. This means that the sub can target camo bloons if they are in the radius of another tower that can (for example, a Ninja Monkey). However, the sub cannot hit camo bloons itself if no other tower can.
- If you put a Heli Pilot on Pursuit Mode, the Sub will have infinite range.
The barbed dart is an indication that the Advanced Intel Sub can go in range of Sniper Monkeys
- Placing a Dartling Gun on the map will NOT provide unlimited range and camo detection for all Monkey Subs with Advanced Intel, regardless of where the cursor is currently pointing. This is also happening to Sniper Monkeys, Mortar Monkeys and Aircraft Carrier. However, Advanced Intel Subs can detect camos and shoot within the towers' own given radii.
- Advanced Intel Subs do not shoot within Banana Farms' radii as they do not attack. They can, however, shoot within any Monkey Villages' radii.
