“ | Adora's devotion compels her to strike Bloons down with furious vengeance. | ” |
~ In-game Description |
Adora is a Hero who was first added to Bloons TD Battles 2 in Version 3.1.0.
Like in BTD6, Adora shoots homing sunbeams that can pop up to 5 Bloons per shot, including Lead Bloons. She cannot detect Camo Bloons without support or her first ability, and cannot pop Purple Bloons without her first ability. However, Adora provides a different set of buffs to Super Monkeys, when compared to BTD6. Additionally, her True Sun Goddess form is significantly different.
She has three abilities: Long Arm of Light (Level 3+), Blood Sacrifice (Level 7+), and Ball of Light (Level 10+). Long Arm of Light gives 2.4x pierce, double range, and can pop Camo and Purples. Blood Sacrifice temporarily superboosts attack speed of the targeted tower before getting sacrificed into XP for herself. Ball of Light summons a sunny ball that targets bloons like an automatic Plasma Accelerator.
Adora's sunbeams initially hit up to 5 bloons. Leveling up allows her to shoot more sunbeams per shot, more pierce, and even more damage.
She costs $650 to place in-game, unlike Fateweaver Adora.
Hero Alts[]
Up until the release of Agent Jericho, each Hero released also came with a pairing Hero Alt. However, Adora is the first Hero to not receive at release, as it took until Update 3.3 where she receives the new Hero Alt, Fateweaver Adora, a unique Adora skin not featured in BTD6.
On Ninja Kiwi's 15th March 2024 blog, when asked why Adora did not have an alt and if she would ever get one, they confirmed a new Adora Hero Alt (later revealed to be Fateweaver Adora) will be coming to the game. They stated that this proof is from the "Ninja Kiwi Insider Session #1: Art Director Mike!" video.
Fateweaver Adora[]
“ | Fateweaver Adora is all knowing and enjoys turning her opponent's power against them. | ” |
~ In-game description |
Fateweaver Adora is a Hero Alt of Adora exclusive to Bloons TD Battles 2.
Her main attacks are just like the original, however she no longer buffs Super Monkeys and has new abilities specifically designed to weaken and take advantage of the opponent's defensive and offensive capabilities. Level 2's Bad Luck increases cooldown of the opponent's hero by +5%, later to +10% at Level 11, and now also affecting all opponent towers' ability cooldowns too at Level 16.
Fateweaver Adora has three abilities: Sharp Sting of Fate, Eye of Misfortune, and Chains of Fate. Sharp Sting of Fate is a high-pierce, high-damage bolt that accurately seeks out targets, but the cooldown of its ability is significantly reduced during an opponent's Bloon Boost. Eye of Misfortune sacrifices a tower of the player's side in exchange for XP debt on the opponent's hero and a temporary speed boost for all bloons in range of that hero. Chains of Fate sets out a temporary trap that ensnares most bloon types, and deals more damage depending on the opponent's most expensive tower.
She costs $700 to place in-game, unlike normal Adora.

Activated Abilities (Adora)[]
Adora has three activated abilities: Long Arm of Light (Level 3+), Blood Sacrifice (Level 7+), and Ball of Light (Level 10+).
The Long Arm of Light Ability[]

Long Arm of Light Ability
While active, Adora's attack range and Pierce are boosted tremendously. This ability also allows her to pop Purple Bloons and to detect Camo Bloons. This ability becomes even more powerful at Level 16. The ability cooldown is 40 seconds at all levels.
- Level 3: 2.4x pierce, double range, and allows Adora to pop Purple Bloons and to detect Camo Bloons for 10 seconds.
- Level 16: Now doubles damage and gives Sun Avatars +2 damage. ability now lasts for 15 seconds.
Blood Sacrifice Ability[]

Blood Sacrifice Ability
Adora can sacrifice another tower on the field to give herself a large XP boost for no cost. The amount varies depending on the cost of the tower and its upgrades, with more expensive towers granting more XP. The amount is 4 times the value of the sacrificed tower; e.g. if she sacrifices a tower worth $6,500, it's as though she applied $26,000 toward XP. This number is also affected by the Energizer and its 50% hero XP increase.
Additionally, upon activation the selected tower gains 5x attack speed for 4 seconds before being sacrificed to Adora, after which she receives a minimum 11% extra attack speed and 10% extra range for 10 seconds. The cap for the buff benefits is 0.75x attack cooldown (+33% attack speed) and +25% range. At level 20, the attack speed boost is capped at double attack speed and +50% range. While the buffs cannot be stacked, if a stronger buff is applied before a weaker one, then the weaker one will still take effect once the stronger one wears off. Stronger buffs always override weaker ones.
The cooldown for the ability is 30 seconds. Before Level 20, that is 33% uptime, but after that it's 200% uptime.
Ball of Light Ability[]

Ball of Light Ability
A ball of light surrounds Adora for a short while, doing massive damage against a single target at an (apparently) unlimited range. This attack, while independent, relies on the same targeting priority as Adora herself. This ability becomes more powerful when Adora is fully leveled up. At level 20, it gains a massive damage boost and increased duration allowing it to remain active more than half the time, giving Adora great B.A.D. damage. Although Adora cannot detect camo Bloons without support (e.g. Radar Scanner) or Long Arm of Light, the ball of light itself CAN detect camo.
The ball of light lasts for 12 seconds at level 10-19 and 20 seconds at level 20 before disappearing. Cooldown of 60 seconds.
Activated Abilities (Fateweaver Adora)[]
Fateweaver Adora has three activated abilities: Sharp Sting of Fate (Level 3+), Eye of Misfortune (Level 7+), and Chains of Fate (Level 10+).
Sharp Sting of Fate Ability[]

Sharp Sting of Fate Ability
Sharp Sting of Fate adds a high pierce, high damage swipe attack. It unlocks at Level 3, and has a 50 second cooldown. However, the cooldown is significantly sped up to as slow as a quick 9 seconds if the opponent activates a Bloon Boost.
Deals ??? damage and uses this formula for pierce: main weapon projectile count * main weapon projectile pierce * 7.
Eye of Misfortune Ability[]
![]() |
This section is incomplete. You can help by expanding it. |

Eye of Misfortune Ability
Sacrifices one of your towers to debuff the opponent's hero, cutting their XP gain for 1:1 conversion to pay off a debt similar to the IMF Loan, and making bloons travel ???% faster inside the hero's range (check?). Has a 30(?) second cooldown.
Chains of Fate Ability[]
![]() |
This section is incomplete. You can help by expanding it. |

Chains of Fate Ability
Chains up bloons entering its radius to immobilize and deal damage every 0.12 seconds to it for an amount dependent on the price of the opponent's most expensive tower, at a factor of (1 + x / 1000), where x is the cost of the opponent's most expensive tower. Has a pierce cap of 450, with MOAB-class bloons taking up more pierce:
- MOAB: 10
- BFB: 20
- ZOMG/DDT: 40
- BAD: 60 (not immobilized)
If all of the pierce of Chains of Fate is consumed for each damage tick, Chains of Fate will only pierce the closest targets.

True Sun Goddess[]

True Sun Goddess
If Adora is Level 20 and is within range of an emerging True Sun God, Adora will merge into the True Sun God, becoming the almighty True Sun Goddess on top of the golden altar that the former True Sun God would have stood upon. She is now astronomically massive in size, gains her Level 20 True Sun Goddess form, her eyes become godly like the True Sun God, opens her mouth in a holy way, and she has permanent Long Arm of Light and two 180°-separated Balls of Light orbiting her indefinitely. Her Blood Sacrifice ability is transferred to the new True Sun Goddess, whereas her other two activated abilities will disappear entirely. Adora, who is now technically the True Sun Goddess, will still retain several attacks of the True Sun God. True Sun Goddess Adora permanently changes her voice into a distorted chromatic sound filter, alongside altering some of her voicelines entirely. Some of her new voicelines are ominous in nature.
It is not possible to sacrifice the True Sun Goddess, not even with a Sun Temple.
Note that Fateweaver Adora will not trigger this transformation, so if one plans to trigger this transformation, only do so with the regular Adora.

Strategy[]
Summary[]
The two Adoras are very distinct in their role, but generally speaking both have a fairly low baseline of DPS that rely much of their strength on their activated abilities.
Summary (Adora)[]
Adora is very late-game-oriented, with much of her power coming from buffing Super Monkeys. Her early-game is subpar, although some of her early levels can be helpful for limited defensive value. Activated abilities and passive Super Monkey buffs are her main value. In general, she is best suited for longer maps, which are more likely to be set for late-game.
Long Arm of Light can help her clear out a good chunk of bloons alongside a stable defense. This helps her reach much further and pop more bloons, suitable for cleanup.
Blood Sacrifice is very potent if used wisely. The immediate massive speed boost be used for a last ditch defense prior to surviving a full all-out. Additionally, the added XP gained afterwards helps her gain a large quantity of power.
Ball of Light has a long-ranged advantage that does a fair amount of damage.
Summary (Fateweaver Adora)[]
![]() |
This section is incomplete. You can help by expanding it. |
Fateweaver is a mix between an offensive and defensive hero. Her defensive potential is typically dependent on the actions of the opponent; a poorly timed Bloon Boost ability allows her Sharp Sting of Fate to come off quickly enough to cool off again, and the cost of the opponent's most expensive tower affects the strength of the Chains of Fate ability. Her offensive potential comes from her Bad Luck effect, worsening heroes (and later, all towers) that are strongly dependent on activated abilities, and her Eye of Misfortune ability, which allows her to slow down hero leveling and speed up bloons within the range of the opponent's hero. In terms of defense, her early-game can be more flexible than normal Adora's ability when accurate high range is an issue, and her late-game can be helpful as a supplementary cleanup option.
Generally speaking, getting Fateweaver down as early as possible is even more important than with default Adora, since her Level 7 ability "Eye of Misfortune" doesn't allow her to gain XP like default Adora can.
Players who are playing against Fateweaver will need to be more careful with their Hero choices, placements, and timing of activated abilities. In combination with a stable, self-sufficient three-tower loadout, a properly utilized Fateweaver offers a lot of anti-rushing benefits that will outcompete the window of opportunity for opponents to rush, as well as increasing the stakes of the opponent's own defenses.
Tips[]
- It may be helpful to place Adora in a location where her seeking can take advantage. Avoid locations where most of her attacks can get blocked by hoardes of bloons.
- It may be worth considering placing either of the Adoras relatively early on to acquire the XP sooner. Placing Adora relatively late isn't too bad, but can miss out on some relatively useful early-game defense.
- R1 Adora can get Level 3 on R4, R2 Adora to Level 3 on R5, and R3 Adora to Level 3 on R6.
- R1 Fateweaver can get Level 3 on R5, R2 Fateweaver to Level 3 on R6, and R3 Fateweaver to Level 3 on R7.
Tips (Adora)[]
- Most strategies should try to delay Adora placement to greed early-game, since much of Adora's mid-to-late-game can allow her to catch up with Level 7+ Blood Sacrifice. An exception is if specifically going for Level 2's Super Monkey benefit, in which early-placed Adora is important.
- Due to her leveling rate, a Round 1 Adora gets her Level 3 by Round 4, but even then, the Long Arm of Light will undergo an initial cooldown and is also not recommended to place Adora on Round 1 as she would struggle with grouped bloons should the opponent send bloons for eco.
- Most use cases of early-placed Adora is to gain her Level 2 to buff Super Monkey pierce. She would get this by Round 4 if placed on Round 2.
- Adora + Hydra is a decent mid-game combination for popping early Leads and having some assistance for R13-16 rushes.
Tips (Fateweaver Adora)[]
- Fateweaver is a semi-counter to normal Adora and the Jerichos, due to her sabotage to all opponent heroes. These specific heroes in particular have high range (for the Jerichos, especially Level 7+) and rely much on their activated abilities.
- For normal Adora, the reliance on expensive towers is difficult to maintain, and Adora's high range especially with her ability allows Fateweaver to maximize the speed boost to bloons within the normal Adora's range.
- The Jerichos lose a lot of their precious money-generation during all stages of the game. Even 5% increased cooldowns is significant; 3.5s to a 70s ability leaves less snowball effect of the steal to fund other income generation.
- Use a Fateweaver loadout as if for a Jericho, except consider non-ability Fateweaver as a minor cleanup rather than for chip damage; Fateweaver is independent on the need to synergize with other towers, and would generally prefer a self-sufficient loadout like Tack-Mortar-Farm or Dart-Farm-Mortar.
- Opponent heroes affected by Eye of Sacrifice's increased XP requirements only delays the progress of their next level.
- R1 Fateweaver is important on loadouts that have a problematic R5 defense, such as the Ninja-Alch combination or a 2-2-0 Tack that is yet to Blade, to temporarily defend against Spaced Whites while greeding for more income and narrowly getting further defense.
- Unlike normal Adora, Fateweaver Adora levels notably slower.

Version History[]
Adora (Version History)[]
Adora has been released a year after Pat Fusty, a very long time since release of a returning BTD6 hero. In general, Adora has seen moderate usage in high-end arenas. A lot of her balance changes in this game focus on improving her early-game.
- 3.1.0 (Compared to BTD6 during Version 40.0)
Adora cost decreased ($1000 → $850)
Level 2-10 Adora now adds +1 pierce and +15% range to all Super Monkeys within range
Level 11+ Adora now adds +2 pierce and +15% range to all Super Monkeys within range
Level 16+ Adora's Long arm of Light now gives Sun Avatars +2 damage when active
Long Arm of Light cooldown lasts for 40s instead of 45s
Long Arm of Light now also adds temporary camo detection to Adora.
Ball of Light can now detect Camo Bloons even if Adora can’t.
Level 11 - 16 Adora attack speed is 0.8s instead of 0.85s
Level 17+ Adora attack speed is 0.6s instead of 0.7s
Level 20 Blood Sacrifice value required per 1% multiplier decreased from 100$/1% to 50$/1%
Level 19 Adora now gives Divine Bolt +1 damage instead of +1 extra fortified damage
Adora's Blood Sacrifice changed to supercharge attack speed of the target before sacrificing the tower for XP
Changed Adora Level 20's True Sun Goddess form from a separate deity to a magnificent overworldly goddess.
Adora's Blood Sacrifice no longer buffs nearby Sun Avatars and above
- 3.2.0
Adora cost decreased ($850 → $700)
Adora's XP leveling curve changed from 1.5x Striker Jones’ XP to 1.5x Quincy’s XP
Long Arm of Light ability further increases pierce (2x → 2.4x)
“ | While Adora has demonstrated effectiveness in the later stages of the game, her performance is lacking early on, especially initially before she upgrades to shoot out multiple sparks. To address this, we have lowered the base cost and changed the leveling curve, so that she can reach some of the key early levels a little sooner. Furthermore, Long Arm of Light has been improved to make it a more impactful ability, as it currently offers mediocre assistance. | ” |
~ Ninja Kiwi |
- 3.3.0
Adora cost decreased ($700 → $650)
Adora's main attack pierce increased (5 → 6)
“ | After the initial hype died down, Adora has not at all been popular in highest arenas. We’re giving her a couple of early game buffs since she particularly struggles at this stage | ” |
~ Ninja Kiwi |
- 4.0.2
Adora's main attack pierce decreased (6 → 5)
“ | Adora has recently gotten a bit more recognition for being a powerful defensive hero in the early game, so we’re toning it down very slightly. | ” |
~ Ninja Kiwi |
Fateweaver Adora (Version History)[]
Fateweaver Adora is a popular hero who is frequently used in high-end arenas for defensive and offensive potential.
- 3.3
- Released
- 3.3.1
Fateweaver Adora's Eye of Misfortune now correctly sacrifices instead of selling for 100% value.
- 3.3.2
Level 10: Chains of Fate deal damage every 0.075 → 0.12 seconds
Level 3 ability cooldown: 40s → 50s (8s → 9s when opponent's bloon boost is active)
“ | All of Fateweaver Adora's abilities are extremely powerful. Her level 3 ability does a great job of cleaning up early/mid game rushes and heavily discourages your opponent from using their bloon boost, making it even harder to send effective rushes against her. We've increased the ability cooldown so that hopefully it should be a bit more situational when deciding if a bloon boost is worthless against her. Also, Chains of Fate has proven to be too effective, dealing massive damage in addition to the stall effect. This ability currently offers too much utility and so we have lowered how much damage this ability will deal. | ” |
~ Ninja Kiwi |
- 4.0
Chains of Fate pierce limit reduced from infinite to 500. MOAB class bloons use up more pierce: MOABs = 10, BFBs = 20, ZOMGs/DDTs = 40, BADs = 60
“ | Fateweaver Adora has retained her spot as the top hero in the highest arenas, with the new tight rushes not hindering her viability since Chains of Fate counters them exceptionally well. Given this, it seemed appropriate to limit the pierce on Chains of Fate, since infinite pierce was unnecessarily excessive for such a powerful ability. | ” |
~ Ninja Kiwi |
- 4.0.2
Fateweaver Adora's main attack pierce decreased (6 → 5)
Fateweaver Adora's Sharp Sting of Fate projectile pierce = main weapon pierce * main weapon projectile count * 8 → main weapon pierce * main weapon projectile count * 7
Fateweaver Adora's Chains of Fate ability pierce decreased (500 → 450)
“ | Fateweaver is certainly deserving of some nerfs as she remains to be an top-tier hero, particularly because of her strong defensive abilities. In addition to the same change that Adora received, we have made a couple of changes which weaken her level 3 and level 10 abilities. | ” |
~ Ninja Kiwi |
- 4.1
Base cost increased ($650 → $700)
“ | With Fateweaver still remaining a dominant hero particularly in the early/mid game, it leaves little room for other heroes like Quincy, as early game is meant to be his specialty. We’ve slightly upped Fateweaver’s base cost so that she’s not quite so efficient early on. | ” |
