If no bloons are nearby Alchemist can drench nearby track with acid.
”
~ BTDB2 description
Acid Pool is the 2nd upgrade of Path 3 for the Alchemist in Bloons TD Battles 2. It allows the Alchemist to create small, short-lived pools of corrosive acid near it to damage bloons when none are within its radius or if the Alchemist misses. Each Acid Pool can soak up to 5 bloons or last for 7 seconds before disappearing, whichever comes first. Acid Pools can hit any type of bloon, even Camo Bloons. Since the Alchemist attacks much faster in BTDB2, an Alchemist with Acid Pool throws acid pools every 1.08s.
Unlike its BTD6 counterpart, Acid Pools are quite an effective way to stockpile extra damage if no bloons are nearby. This could help soak a few incoming bloons and chip some more damage to them. 0-2-2 is quite effective for the purpose of dealing extra damage to all affected bloon types, especially Fortified MOABs. It can also serve as a small amount of camo detection, although this benefit mostly carries over to late-game DDTs via 0-2-2 crosspath.
Tips[]
Crosspath Acid Pool appropriately. Path 1 crosspath doesn't actually benefit the pools besides radius size, but Path 2 does add more damage and faster tick rate.

Acid Pool gets very little attention, so we thought that it’d be an interesting and logical addition to allow the pools to hit camo bloons passing over them. [...]
